We've recently introduced Hayden to rice cereal and have thrown in some peas and squash into the variety. The rice she likes...as for the peas and squash, see the new photo album.
Hayden's new sound: HIGH PITCHED SQUEALS!

Hayden has learned how to make sounds!
Her favorite so far is her "AAAHHH" sound, which sounds like she's opening wide for a doctor to see in her throat, except that her sound is more parched, as if she's been wandering the desert for days and is in need of some water. It's very funny and she is even making this sound instead of crying when she wants me or Ryan to get her out of her crib. We can hear her through the monitor and it really sounds as if she's talking to herself. She's so sweet.
She's also occasionally made the "M" sound but only when she's been really upset. I'll try to get these "chat sessions" on video so I can post it. Till then, enjoy some more photos!Comments:Add a comment:

At long last...we thought this day would never come~
Hayden slept for EIGHT straight hours last night which means that for the first time since her arrival, Mommy and Daddy slept for eight hours and we could not feel more refreshed!
I cannot even describe how much fun Hayden is at this age...she laughs, talks, smiles, touches...she's so curious about everything and it is fascinating to watch her discover her surroundings.Comments:Add a comment:

ATTENTION:
If you can open it up, please check out her newest video. She is our little giggler and this is our absolute favorite video of her to date. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do!Comments:Add a comment:

Hayden had a doctor's appointment yesterday and all is well! She's growing so much and getting more beautiful every day (if that's even possible since we already think she's the most beautiful baby ever!). It's amazing for us to watch this little person hit her developmental milestones like playing on her tummy, making sounds, recognizing us, laughing, and entertaining herself. As much fun as it is, it is also hard to realize how fast she's growing...how fast four months has come and gone! Before we know it, we'll be celebrating her first birthday...we can hardly believe it.
Hayden absolutely does not like to be on her back anymore whatsoever. You would think that having that much tummy time is good, but it makes for changing her diaper a very difficult task. Our new trick ~ changing her diaper while she is on her tummy. We already dress her and put lotion on her while she is laying that way, so why not change her diaper that way too?
Last night was Hayden's first night out of our room and into her own crib (we FINALLY received our things this past week) and we think that she enjoys it. She still wakes in the middle of the night, but her daytime naps are much longer when in her crib. We always place her in the center of the crib, but when we go in to check on her, she always scoots herself up to the upper right hand corner of her crib. We think that being in a corner (instead of the middle where the crib seems so big) is comforting to her.
We hope everyone is enjoying all the photos we try to take of her. We'll keep everyone posted on any new developments as they happen. Love to all.
